The art

It started in kindergarten. I'd trace anime figures, make my own characters, fill up pages at home long after school let out. Nobody told me to keep going โ€” it just never stopped.

I love to draw people. Animals, no โ€” that's a fact about me. But put a person in front of me or in my head and I'm gone. My style sits somewhere between realism, cartoonish, sketches, and anime. I never fully landed in one place and I think that's just how it works.

Things you can hold

I like making physical art. Not just drawings โ€” bracelets, personalized gifts, glass paintings. Things you can hold. Things that prove someone made them. That's always been the most important part for me: you can tell a human made it.

When I'm making something for someone I love โ€” something with their face on it or their name in it โ€” I get completely lost. Time disappears. Stress disappears. I'm just in it. There's something sacred about not tracking time, about only coming back to yourself when the thing is done.

The frustration

A friend once asked us to draw something โ€” and instead of waiting for the handmade version, they generated it. That hurt. When you have artist friends who care about you, it's okay to ask. But skipping that and reaching for a prompt instead makes you feel like your effort doesn't matter.

The world we're in now: artists livestreaming drawing sessions just to prove they made it. People asking artists to hold up three fingers as proof. We don't know what's real anymore. The fear isn't just about today โ€” it's about a future we can't fully picture. That's the part that keeps me up.

Why HART

HART is one of the only places I've seen that takes the "human made it" question seriously and builds the verification into the system itself, not as a vibe. That's why I help with the community side โ€” talking to other artists, listening to what they need, making sure the platform stays for them.
